About Us

Momentum is a membership based independent charity that acts as an umbrella and infrastructure support to organisations working with children and young people, within the voluntary and community sector in Norfolk.

Our aim is to support the development of our members to build a vibrant and diverse voluntary and community sector that inspires, involves and empowers the young people that they work with.

We have over 300 groups in membership who are working with children and young people in early year’s groups, youth clubs and projects, uniformed, faith, sport, arts groups and many more.

We provide our members with practical support in the establishment and development of their organisation including constitution and policy writing, staff recruitment, CRB checks and induction training, etc.

We act as a voice for our members in a variety of forums and provide a central point for information and guidance on a wide range of issues. We ensure that effective communication takes place between Norfolk County Council, Statutory partnerships and our member organisations that directly effect their work with children and young people.
