Hours: 38 hours per week (which will include sleep ins)
Location: Norfolk / Suffolk
Salary: £18,025 - £19,143 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications (maximum job rate potential is £20,099 which is performance related).
Break is seeking a Project Support Worker to join the team to support young people with a range of physical and learning disabilities. The services include specialist and themed-based activity holidays, regular residential short breaks, supporting young people on an individual basis within the community and youth groups. The services are delivered from various locations in Norfolk and Suffolk.
You will be enthusiastic, creative and motivated with a professional, caring and calm approach and able to support our young people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions. You will need to be able to demonstrate commitment, flexibility and imagination. We focus on promoting social skills, independence, advocacy and children’s rights to ensure they enjoy life and achieve to their full potential.
This challenging work can be extremely rewarding. The young people accessing our services can present a range of challenging behaviours, requiring you to have energy, resilience and thought.
The successful candidate will be required to work a rota/shift pattern including nights, weekends and sleep-ins.
Note: An additional £34.27 is paid for each sleep-in duty.
