Young People’s Support Worker

The Benjamin FoundationHours: 16 hours per week

Location: Covering Ipswich & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £7,862.40 per annum /£9.45 per hour, plus car users allowance and agreed mileage

Heart & Home aims to provide short-term accommodation to young people in care, usually aged between 16-18 years of age, who can benefit from a nurturing, secure environment within ‘Host’ households. 

We are now seeking Sessional Support Workers to be part of this multi-disciplinary service who will be responsible for safeguarding, providing advocacy, support and the necessary life skills to young people so that they can live independently and you will have regular attendance at professional meetings – for instance, statutory reviews and placement meetings.  You will also use outcome tools to assess the progress and the wellbeing of service users and you will be part of planning housing pathways and ensuring successful move on.  You will be required to be self-motivated, use initiative and be flexible.
