We have a wide variety of courses, which are intended to develop the skills and knowledge of staff and volunteers working with children and young people. Our courses are available to members and non-members. Our members enjoy a substantial discount off the cost. We also advertise courses on behalf of other organisations and have been able to negotiate a reduction for our members on most of these.
To find details of courses, select "training" from the list or the calendar on the left of this page. Select the course you are interested in for further detailed course information and booking instructions.
To book your place on one of Momentum's courses, please fill out our booking form, ensuring all starred sections are complete. The booking form can be downloaded here. To book a place on a course from other organisations please use the designated link on the course information page. Don't forget to follow the instructions to gain a member's discount.
For information about becoming a member of Momentum, please visit our Membership page.
Following a review of our services, and in preparation for the proposed cuts in our funding, we have had to increase the cost of our training for both members and non-members. Our aim is to continue to provide good quality, accessible training that meets the needs of the voluntary and community sector at an affordable cost.
We will continue to run the free courses we have advertised until our 2015-16 training programme ends in April. Until then, please do make sure that you have checked the price of all our courses as we are phasing in the new costs for our training from 1st January.
This year we are expanding our training offer, so please visit our website to find details of all our courses, along with all the course fees.
Your place on a course is only booked when we have received a correctly completed booking form and have confirmed your place with you. Bookings are always taken on a first come first served basis; we cannot reserve spaces for multiple delegates without completed booking forms. So please do book in advance to avoid disappointment.
We would welcome your feedback and suggestions about how we can improve our training offer. Please email us your comments.
Invoices will be sent to delegates two weeks before the start date of the course, along with your confirmation letter. Once the confirmation letter has been sent, your place is booked and you are liable for the full course fee, whether or not you attend.
In the event that you are unable to attend our course due to illness (or other unforeseeable emergency), you will need to contact us to let us know and we will require written confirmation from your manager that you were unable to attend. In these circumstances we will do our best to transfer your place onto a course at a later date. If this is not possible then the training fee will be waived / refunded.
Non-attendance on courses that are advertised currently as free will result in a cancellation charge.
