Private Sector Liaison Worker

Contract: Full time – Fixed term for 18 months in the first instancest July 2020 in the first instance

Salary: £23,883.21 per annum/£12.33 per hour plus car users allowance and agreed mileage

Job Role

The Benjamin Foundation’s Anchorage Service provides semi-supported accommodation for young people aged 16-25 years in the Great Yarmouth Borough Council area.

Anchorage works to secure leases on private sector properties in the Borough to house 3 to 5 young people at a time on a shared housing basis, as part of their journey to overcome homelessness and learning to live independently.

The successful applicant must have practical experience of the social and private rental housing sectors; knowledge of planning and housing regulations, especially those related to a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO); excellent networking and negotiation skills; and an ability to empathise with and support young people who have faced a range of challenging experiences during their lives. Use of a vehicle is essential for this role.
