Volunteer Support Worker (Young Parents)

MAP2Hours: Six hours per week: 12:00 – 18:00 on Wednesdays

Location: Norwich

Type of role: Voluntary, no pay is associated with this role. Expenses are payable for travel, accommodation, etc.

Our Volunteer Support Worker will directly support our work with Young Parents, working out of our Risebrow Centre in Norwich. You’ll be working with our Advice Workers to support the delivery of our Young Parents Group, greeting the young parents attending and participating in the activities with them. You’ll be helping us to ensure the children of young parents are looked after while they’re in a drop-in session, signpost to positive activities and services within MAP and the wider community, and be an integral part of this important service we provide in Norfolk. Ideally, you’d have some experience of youth work or working with young people and children, including babies, be a great communicator and be able to make people feel welcome and at ease.
