Please note that this training will be delivered across two sessions on consecutive days. All two sessions must be attended to complete the course. The sessions will run as follows:
Day One - 9.30am to 12.45pm
Day Two - 9.30am to 12.45pm
Family Networking is an integral component of Signs of Safety practice, which involves delivering care and support through extended family networks. We know that young people grow more resilient and are more likely to achieve better outcomes when they have the support of a naturally connected network, yet this is one of the most underdeveloped areas in safeguarding.
This training is for professionals who work with children and families in Norfolk. For example, those working with children, young people and/or their parents/carers in any setting, including but not limited to all staff working in schools, early years settings, social care, health, youth services, staff working in the voluntary sector and their managers.
Please note this training is free to staff from Norfolk Children's Services. There is a charge of £50 for staff from statutory agencies, private, independent and profit making organisations and a charge of £35 for staff from the voluntary sector. This charge is to meet the costs of the venue and refreshments.
This training will support professionals in undertaking Family Network Meetings at all stages of their involvement with Children, Families and Carers.
