Signalong is a key word sign-supported communication system based on British sign language which is used to help adults and children with impaired communication to understand and express their needs, choices and desires.
The Signalong Phase 2 course is an accredited course suitable for anyone who provides support for those who use Signalong as part of their communication. Learners must have already completed the Foundation Course Phase 1 to attend.
Learners gain access to a wider range of vocabulary and have the opportunity to practice signing together, learning a further 346 signs.
Learners will develop the skills already gained from the Phase 1 training. They will gain further understanding how sign supported communication supports children and adults with speech, language and communication needs. Learners will practice using signing skills and signs to interact and communicate with others.
Anyone who has previously completed a Signalong Phase 1 course.
