Norfolk Day is the day in the Norfolk calendar when the general public and businesses can visit participating members to enjoy all things Norfolk: activities and services and to find out how to get involved in the things that they are interested in, but have not had a chance.
Organised and promoted by the EDP, The Hamlet are very happy to participate in the event on Friday 27 July.
As a Norwich City based charity, we are opening the doors to the Adult Centre on Ella Road NR1 4BP, so that you can find out first hand more about what The Hamlet does to support those people living with disability and complex health needs to feel part of our wider Norfolk community.
Between 10am-4pm, you can attend to speak to specialist support workers, visit our music room and sensory room and maybe have a go at Eye Gaze a revolutionary piece of equipment that allows those who are unable to move or communicate verbally to do so using their eyes.
Members from the Children's Centre at Johnson Place will also be present if you would like to discuss facilities for younger children.
Meet staff, discuss waiting list and drop-in session opportunities and if you are a business and would like to discuss sponsorship and or charity of the year opportunities, today is a great day to do so!
This Norfolk Day event is a unique opportunity for The Hamlet as well as local residents to meet and to work together as a community to support each other.
This event is totally FREE of charge, however any donations would be gratefully received.
