This short course will give participants an excellent understanding of the key principles of youth participation and co-production methodology. The course will provide practical ideas on how to develop genuine youth participation processes. Genuine youth participation has an exceptionally powerful impact on the impact of youth organisations and the future shape of the sector.
Participants attending this training will be able to Identify what is meant by youth participation and its benefits. Participants will be readily able to apply the principles and practices of youth participation, including developing the ability to identify and plan projects making use of co-production techniques.
Participants need to be in a paid youth work or volunteer youth work role. Participants need to be working face to face with young people aged under 24. Participants will need to explore what their organisations currently do to involve young people in decision making processes.
