Momentum (Norfolk) supports voluntary and community organisations working with children and young people in Norfolk. Our aim is to support local organisation to build a vibrant and diverse voluntary and community sector that inspires, involves and empowers the young people that they work with.
The Momentum Youth Work Network is a community of Norfolk-based youth clubs, groups, and organisations in the Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector working with children and young people aged 11-19 and up to 25 with SEND. The Network provides a means for members to touch base with other youth workers and take time out to reflect on youth work practice, as well as discuss sector needs and challenges in a friendly and supportive environment.
Momentum has a small grants programme to help you deliver high quality activities for young people, which our members can apply to. We also keep you informed of other funding opportunities. To stay up to date with latest funding opportunities, subscribe to our monthly Empowering Communities Funding Newsletters.
Our partnership with the Safer programme enables our network members to get access to child protection advice, training and support with writing policies. It’s important for all clubs, groups and organisations working with under 18s to keep up to date on the latest safeguarding guidance and to have policies in place to help protect children and young people from harm.
We provide a central point for information and guidance on a wide range of issues. We ensure that effective communication takes place between Norfolk County Council, Statutory partnerships and organisations in our Network, amplifying the voice of the voluntary sector in order to influence decision making. We also coordinate The Voluntary Sector Forum (Children, Young People and Families) for voluntary community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations that provide services to children, young people and their families in Norfolk.
